Petal is a Jamaican born, American raised Black Woman, who migrated from Jamaica to America at a very young age. Petal was raised by hard working parents, who instilled in her the value of hard work. Constantly being told “the only way to get what you want in life, you must work hard for it”.
In 2011, Petal got tired of buying low quality hair from the local Asian beauty supply stores; she also got tired of their horrible customer service and with no training or background in hair Petal began to research the hair extensions industry and thus the birth of Hair So Fab. Petal started Hair So Fab with less than $300 in her bank account. She started with a small online store while working as a babysitter. The extra money she had from working after paying bills, she invested it in her company.
In 2014 Petal opened her first location in Bloomfield, NJ. Then in 2016 her second location in Brooklyn, NY. She now has 3 locations in the NY/ NJ area and plans to open more in the future..
Hair So Fab has been worn by some of the top celebrities in the industry, including Rihanna, Cardi B, Remy Ma, Taraji P Henson, Tiffany Haddish, Monica, Kelly Roland and Yandy Smith, just to name a few. Her hair extensions has also been featured in Cosmopolitan, New York times, Sheen Magazine, Hype Hair Magazine and more.
