Jessica Carr is a licensed, freelance wig maker based in Portland, Oregon. She specializes in creating realistic women’s wigs for theater performances as well as creating fantasy characters for Cosplay and Princess Parties. She is currently the Wig Supervisor at Portland Center Stage where she makes the wigs for the current shows.
Her wigs are made from human and synthetic materials so that her products are able to be more widely accessible. She uses styling products, loose hair, custom lace, and her creativity to design exactly what is needed for a theatrical performance or for her private clients. She is dedicated to providing excellent service and a high-quality craft. Because wigs are so personal, her priority is making her clients comfortable, happy, and fabulous.
Jessica has her B.A. in Theater Arts with an emphasis in Costume Design from the University of Oregon. It was there where she first discovered her love for wig styling and wig making as well as costume design. During her time in college, she designed wigs and costumes for multiple musicals and plays. After graduating in 2012, she was able to fully submerge herself in the technical arts of theater in Portland, Oregon.
